Jazz artist Don McMullin is a multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, keyboards, trumpet and trombone. He is also a composer and arranger with specific talents in styles spanning fusion-jazz, big band-jazz, smooth-jazz, funk-jazz and classical music composition. Don was active touring and recording during the 70’s and 80’s receiving accolades from folks like Mel Torme, Lou Rawls, Trini Lopez, Don Lamond, Roy Burns, Don Alias, Duffy Jackson, David Garibaldi, members of “Fattburger” and many others. During the mid-seventies Don was the musical director, arranger and drummer for the 50’s group “The Platters”. Through the 80s he worked and recorded with Carl Evans Jr, Hollis Gentry III, Dwight Stone and other local San Diego jazz musicians. Don took a hiatus from touring during the 90’s through early 2000 but began recording in 2013 with the release of his first CD. Since then, Don has released 9 CDs to date and continues to write, record and release CDs. We hope you find something you like…
